As a Florida native, Brittney attained her Bachelor's in Organizational Leadership from Valencia College. She has been involved in multiple competitive choirs (co-ed and all-female) and trained under Grammy Award winner Dr. Jeffrey Redding. Within these groups, she competed and won the International Festival of Gold & The Heritage Festival while being tasked with the responsibility of teaching and preparing music. Through this training, she was invited to perform at Carnegie Hall, The American Choral Director Association Conference (state, regional & national levels).
Throughout high school, she was heavily involved in a co-ed a capella group. While leading the group, they were invited to perform at the International Competition of High School A Capella, The Besty’s A Capella Festival, The National Convention of A Capella, SoJam, and they were recognized as a Holiday Entertainment Group for the Walt Disney World Company. In her time in all three of these groups, she studied music theory, sight-reading, learned how to play piano, professionally recorded an EP as well as a single and arranged pieces for performance.Â
After her days in high school, she began to teach herself guitar and ukulele. Brittney currently directs middle school and high school students in a contemporary worship band, leading the band as well as playing piano, guitar and vocals.
