James Robinson

James Robinson grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. He started his musical journey by studying piano but eventually switched to trumpet. While in St. Louis he won spots to perform with many elite ensembles around the city including the following: The St. Louis Youth Orchestra, The Young People's Symphony Orchestra, and local Jazz bands.

James then went on to pursue a degree in trumpet performance at The University of Louisville. While there, he continued his study on piano, working through Piano classes 1-4. He performed with many notable artists such as Rex Richardson, Alarm Will Sound, the Broadway cast of Chicago, Adam Nussbaum, Unaffiliated Brass, and many more.

In addition, James was selected as the principal trumpet for the Kentucky intercollegiate band in 2018 and 2019. In 2021 he relocated to Central Florida to continue teaching and performing.
